Dr. Iyore James is a board-certified general surgeon and fellowship-trained transplant surgeon with extensive expertise in robotic and minimally invasive surgery. With over 1,500 robotic procedures completed, she brings clinical experience and a commitment to patient safety to RoboMed Global’s vision of delivering safe, trusted surgical care in Africa.
As Chief Medical Officer and Co-Founder, she champions clinical excellence and the development of local surgical expertise. She also coordinates RoboMed Academy, an initiative of RoboMed Cares Foundation dedicated to training surgeons, nurses and biomedical engineers of African descent. Through education, mentorship and advocacy for women in surgery, she helps build skilled healthcare teams, strengthen hospital capabilities and expand sustainable access to advanced surgical care.
